Nestum Cereal Prawns 麦片虾

Prawns (deveined, cut off the legs)

1 tablespoon flour

1 tablespoon cornflour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 egg yolk

3 packets of Nestum 3 in 1 (nestum, milk powder, sugar)


4 tablespoons of Nestum

1 tablespoon milk powder

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

Curry leaves

Red chillies (chopped)

1 butter


1. Add 1 tablespoon flour, 1 tablespoon cornflour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 egg yolk on the prawns. Mix and coat the prawns with the batter thoroughly.

2. Heat oil to high (170 degrees Celcius). Deep fry the prawns for 3-4 minutes or until they turned golden. Flip the prawns as you deep-fry to ensure the prawns are cooked well.

3. Mix 3 packets of Nestum 3 in 1 with some salt. 

4. Add butter into a wok. Bring heat up to medium. Toss in the curry leaves and chopped chillies. 

5. Once the butter has melted, add the Nestum mixture. Stir well to combine.

6. Add the fried prawns. Stir until the Nestum mixture has coated all prawns nicely. Serve hot.
